Transfer case fluid change
Today I drained the transfer case to change fluid. I only got out half a quart or less! It calls for 2 qts. Where could the fluid have disappeared to? Didn't notice any drips from the drive shaft. What about the front of transfer case? Could it have leaked somewhere it shouldn't have? I'm hoping someone just didn't fill it up correctly. What possible problems should I look for. It seems to drive good. I only put about 1000 miles on it since the new motor was installed. It sat for a year or two before that. Hopefully I caught it before any perm damage.
