Voltage Drop
I bought a new alternator about 6 mos ago and my meter always read 14-15v, now it will sit at maybe 12.5 at idle and go up to 14-15 when I rev only. Has the alt gone bad (still under 2 yr warranty)? My batteries are fully charged and holding.

Batteries? Is this a diesel super duty? If your batteries are holding charge I wouldnt be too concerned about the alternator just yet. minimum spec is 1/2 volt above base voltage. One battery may be getting weak and the full load of air conditioning and other accesories may cause it to drop unusually low. Make sure the cables are clean and tight and the negative cable is clean and tight at the block. It wouldnt hurt to get each battery tested separately in case one is starting to go bad and bringing the other down with it.
