IFS kits
As long as you keep a factory front sump oil pans, I don't see why you couldn't put in a rack with a little creative mount welding
you say beter steering and suspention, but better for what?
Are you building a showtruck or are you trying to cut out weight for a dragtruck project?
ford trucks that are this old handle like crap until they have new coils and shocks, kingpins, pivot bushings and radius arm bushings, but this is wear not a design issue. Then they handle surpizingly well.
might add a sway bar and a steering stablizer.

a F350 brake upgrade wouldn't hurt either.

you will need to look them up on the web GOOGLE.COM is a good place to start.
One of two companies that I have personally checked out are
FATMANS Fabrication I think they are located in North Carolina and
Streetrod engineering out west
both companies sell bare bones kits or the full meal deal,
and yes they are available for 73-79 ford trucks.
They do require stripping down your current front end and some welding,
air bags or not and also rack and pinion sterring is an upgrade,
these are AWESOME kits, and look fantastic when installed, but they can be pricy$$$
Shades of Past car show in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is coming up the weekend after Labor day weekend, a good place to see these kits and might find a vendor selling them, they are available for a LOT of older vehicles.
