Yes I have tried putting the adjustment screw all the way in. I took off the throttle body, and cleaned it. Replaced gaskets, intake air temperature sensor and air bypass valve. The idle is still high.
no but the timing has not moved i mark the timing at the base of the distributer
im almost sure it a fuel problem thanks but i will check it out any way
did this happen all of a sudden? if so maybe you popped a vacumn hose off. or you could chech to see if your idle increase solenoid is stuck out a little bit. are you sure your throttle plkate in your valve body is closing all the way. it may be stuck open the slightest bit.is the gaket on the throttle body good and is the throttle body seating correctly. you may have a warped body. more air means higher idle.
idle solenoid may be stuck or inoperative. Take it off and clean it thourougly with solvent and put it back. If this doesnt help, replace it. They are relatively cheap.
I checked and replaced idle solenoid and cleaned thottle body, the plates look like there seating fine. Yesterday i shot some carb cleaner around the base of intake and the idle went up some, so possible leak at base of intake manifold so removeing and replacing today thanks for your input
