Clutch Master (Non)Interchange
F-series pickups use one type. E-series vans use a different one. And the Ranger/Bronco/Aerostar use yet a different type.
There seems to be a break in 1988. For the F-series, I think the difference is that the later master is nonadjustable. I suspect they are interchangeable.
As for the slave cylinder. The diesel and big block (ie T19 and ZF) use one type. Smaller engines (ie T18 (and np435?)) use another through 87 and a third type starting in 88.
So, for the guy that wanted to use a Ranger master in an F-series - it probably won't work.
