the 10k mod really does not make the truck smoke anymore the it did before the mod, at least i cant notice it if it did, but im an automatic so i dont know what it does for the sticks. if you want your truck to be a real life smoke wagon then you should look into putting in a chip. naw the 10k mod merely tricks the computer on the truck to supply a higher pressure to the injectors effectively giving the fuel a little extra kick into the cylinder. On a completly stock truck, it supposedly gives an extra 30HP and 100 lb/ft of Torque, dunno for sure but thats the rumor. If you have any chips or tuners, the effect will be slim to none as the ICP is already being modifed by the chip/tuner in most circumstances. hope this helps

No chip or tuner yet, just straight piped, K&N, and gauges. I am supposed to be selling the truck, but I can't pass up a cheap mod. I just thought since it increases fuel delivery it might increase the smoke. Don't really care one way or the other about the smoke. I saw the same numbers on the site I got the instructions from, they seem a little high, but any improvement for that price is worth it.

PSDPOWER- You might look into the modified 10K MOD aka the Clamp. this uses 3 diodes and 2 resistors to do the same thing as the 10k, just doesn't affect idle and has a little more power. I did mine 2 days ago and it adds a significant amount of power and torque. If you do this, I would advise putting a switch in the dash. Here is the link for the how to.

did mine with 3 diodes and 2 resistors and wholly hanna did that increase power and on WOT she smoke like a old man with a ciguar but dont like the way it idles some times it will idel at 900 rpm and some times at 600 and transmmision seem to shift
differtly everytime i stomp on the pedal and some times the rpm get to high before transmision shifts to next gear never did this before mod !
love the power but i think i am giong to remove it and go with predator tuner.
one more thing my boost went from 16 before mode to 26 after mode

Yeah, the tranny thing really sucks. Not sure what is going on there. I almost wonder if the computer adjusts line pressure and shift points based on throttle position, and since she is making so much more power at less throttle, the thing is slipping a bit. I have found that only going 1/2-3/4 throttle seems to help quite a bit. Once the thing actually shifted the way it should and barked the tires into second. Also today while hauling about 10,000lbs of rock, I laid a 30ft patch on take off Holy Torque Batman!! Anyone know how to do the T/C lockup trick?

I have a 6-speed with a fairly new clutch setup so I don't think I'll have any problems there. I have the instructions for both the 10K and the clamp. I think I'll try the 10K first and then maybe the clamp. Any other tips or tricks? Thanx
