Five (6?) Senses

Hey everyone,
Let's lighten up the mood and take a little fun survey here. Name some of the things that appeal to your particular 5 (6?) senses. This should make some interesting reading. I can't wait to hear Dennis' and Greywolfs' entries. As for me:

Sight -A big F-150/250 covered in mud with rooster-tails flyin'

Sound -The sound of a finely-tuned racing engine at full song.

Smell -Nothin' like a brand-new garden hose.

Touch -The tug of a fish at the end of a line.

Taste -mom's apple pie

6th -The anticipation of the possibility of a friendly evening with my wife.

Now don't sit and think about these or we'd all have 500 entries. Go with the first thing that pop's in ya head.

Five (6?) Senses

I'll have to go a bit backwards here...

6th -The anticipation of the possibility of a friendly
evening with my wife. (I concur!!)

Sight -My wife getting ready for the friendly evening

Sound -My wife during the friendly evening

Smell -Ditto

Touch -Ditto

Taste -Yer gettin' the idea, right?

To me, nothing in this world can appeal to (all of) my senses more than my wife!

Sense of Sight
I was awestruck at my first sighting of the Grand Canyon.

But,tied with that, was the sight of a Starbucks Coffee shop in London,England after having to drink syrup coffee for 3 weeks before that.

Sense of Hearing
The sound me releasing a fart after being held hostage from it for at least 5 hours.
Plus,The sound of a newborn Baby's first cry.

Sense of Smell

Besides the outcome of the first sense of sound,I would have to say
Fresh Baking Bread & what you smell right after it stops raining.

Sense Of Touch

Me being touched : A good Massage

Me touching something : Me getting my hand's on a FREE complete tilt column with cruise for a 78 F-150.

Sense Of Taste

Before my Mother passed away it was her Apple Pie

But Since then, Nothing beats the taste of My Own Homemade Pizza

The 6th Sense you forgot is: Sense Of Humour

I would have to say : Watching Red Green or The night I had to tell the same Joke 6 times while I was in a bar for 3 hours.

And finally to follow up with the sense of humour it would be to have an extra Canadian dollar, because unfortunately for me that would only equal 38 cents Canadian.

SIGHT: Sunrise going through the pass for a day of saltwater fishing. Sunset going through the pass after a day of saltwater fishing. The curious looks on my Jack Russell's face and the way the skin wrinkles around his neck.

SOUND: F4 Phantom at WOT. Inline 4 "Croch Rocket" with header pipe right when it hits the sweet spot. The sound of the clicker on my Penn rell when we got "Fish on!!" The report of my deer hunting buddy's rifle, in the distance on a clear cold morning. The sound of Winston Cup cars coming out of turn 4 and into the trioval at Talladega.

TASTE: Mt late GrandMa's Blackberry Cobbler. Salt cured ham. Fresh hot coffee. Licorice.

SMELL: A puppy. Bacon cooking. Racing exhaust. The ocean.

TOUCH: Flannel sheets. A baseball. The way my Springfield Armory 1911 .45 feels in my hands.

SIXTH: Knowing God exists. Staring at INFINITY on a clear dark night and trying to figure THAT one out!

I'll try and not dupilcate anyone here but it might be tough as you all had great answers.

SIGHT; The sun burning it's way into the horizon. Preferable over water.
SOUND; Big cammed motor, even a Harley.
SMELL; Gotta be the 100+ octane burned gas exiting that same motor.
TOUCH; FEMALES----all over!!!
TASTE; Food is essential but I'd rather taste VICTORY. Something I don't seldom get a chance at.

In no particular order:

Sound, not to bragg but I could listen to the straight pipes commin out fo my cam'd 351w any day, I would love to have a best sounding truck contest. I do enjoy a good song once in a while as well.

Sight, Any particular lake surrounded by trees on a gorgeous day.

Smell, My Grandmas fresh bread

Touch, obviously a female, you guys sure talk about your wives a lot, maybe I should get one (not yet I am only 18)

Taste, Cold Water during a baseball practise or crab with ceaser salad.

Finally I would have to say that without laughter the world would be nothing, I get my own joy out of trying to make people laugh and love it when I am successful.

Wow, I thought I was the only one in the world who snuggled up to the smell of a new garden hose. That's right up there with buying a new garbage can. It just don't get any better.

Sight: Just being able to see 20/20 everyday is great (my normal vision is 20/400). A setting sun through the clouds with all the colors. A shooting star. Saturn through a telecope (or Jupiter, the moon, etc.)

Sound: A F-15 at full burner. My KZ750 working it's way through the gears at full throttle. What a sweet whine the gears make.

Smell. My grandmother makes a better Blackberry cobbler than yours does. Add a dash of vanilla ice cream and just drool....

Touch: My wife. My wife. My wife. Oops got stuck there. I also enjoy my 2 boys very much.

Taste: Get a 10 lb bag of spicy crawfish and a 12 pack of your favorite cold ones. It will be worth the drive.

6th: Anticipation....of many things that I cannot list here

New garden hoses are pretty good, but did you ever notice the wonderful variety of pleasant smells from new books? Also some fancy brochures and catalogs.

Other good non-food smells:

New tires
WD-40
3-in-1 Oil
Transmission Fluid
Gasoline (not good for you, but as a kid I would poke my head out the car window when they filled it up so I could enjoy the smell)
New vinyl portfolio/folder
