The drivers side lumbar support on my 97 EB doesn't work right. When I press the button, I feel it move but a couple of seconds later it reverts back to the original setting. The passenger side works just fine.
How does this thing work - mechanical? air pump/vacuum? Is it an easy fix or another engineering nightmare? If its too tough, I'm tempted to just buy a lumbar support pillow!
My '97 uses a small vacuum pump under the seat to inflate the lumbar bag. The release switch activates a valve to bleed the air from it to deflate the bag.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-Apr-02 AT 10:57 AM (EST)]My switch seems to be a little 'loose'. The one on the passenger side doesn't have the same feel to it. Is this a switch/valve assembly or are they two different components? If it were to be replaced, is it a difficult fix?
U know what? My 95 EB has the same issue... I can feel the passesnger side inflating but the driver's dont. Also, the switches feel different on each seat. Like the driver's been worn out.
