Scam Alert
If you have clicked on a link and the URL does not start with www.ebay.com - get out fast!
If you even have 1 percent doubt, forward it to spoof@ebay(DOT)com
You can also log into ebay and ask questions direct.
This also applies to PayPal and Your bank - all of which will never ask for you personal information or account information via e-mail (they have it already) - if you wouldn't give it out over the phone to some one you don't know, then don't do it via e-mail.
As a reputable eBay seller myself, I find it ashame when people scam. It just makes the rest of us look bad.
I hope that folks have taken something from my original posting of this scam and I am glad that folks are taking an interest in protecting themselves.
Remember - eBay is just like the real world - if some one has a bad rep, it is for a reason and if a deal sounds too good to be true, becareful.
Trying to protect the world, one key stroke at a time!
Cheers,
