92/250/7.3/non-turbo.
After the wait to start light goes out I only get a single "click" instead of repeated "clicks",like it used to do, plus its hard to start. Is this a glow plug relay problem, or should I be looking at the injection pump?
Check your glo plugs 1st.If there are some bad ones it will do as you said. That will be the only time you will be glad you are not turboed, lol. You can also check the relay ground as they are known to cause trouble,if the grnd wire is using the valve cover stud move it to an exhaust manifold stud,it will work better there.
Btw,that relay has nothing to do with the pump,it just pre-heats for easier starts.
When mine was doing this if I would turn the key on and off ( after the one click) about 15 times it would start. I replaced the relay and this took care of the problem. The relay was a very expensive part $165.00 if I recall right because the only place I could get it around here was at the Ford dealer. If this is the case in your area you also might want to check with an International truck dealer, I have heard that there parts are sometimes more reasonalble.
