my 85 F150 has a 4spd w granny
i noticed it has a pto spot
is this normal on 4 spds?

Yes, it's normal on the cast iron case truck 4 speeds. The T19 in my 86 F250 has 2 PTO ports, as should the one in the 85 listed in your signature.

the access cover you found most certainly will let you have a pto, many trannies (manual only) have allowed this installation. Used to be a standard thing, to have the cover and the aftermarket capitalized on it.
