New Exhaust Help
I have an '89 F-250,351,4wd and want to install a new exhaust but the one I want to install claims that it "won't work on F250 heavy duty series with on converter". I bought the truck second hand and am not sure if it's a Heavy Duty or if it has an on converter. The truck was manufactured in Canada and I am having a hard time finding Vin codes. I'm not even sure that It will help. How can I find out if it is a Heavy Duty and wether or not it has an on converter. All help would be appreciated.

There should be a sticker on the door jamb telling it's rating. My 90 is light duty being rated at 6800lbs. I think HD's are rated 8600 or higher. Might take a look at your rear axles. My LD has a semi floater axle setup, which looks just like a half ton axle with 8 lugs. The HD would more than likely have the big hub lookin thing sticking through the wheel, which is full floater.
