How hot do you like it inside your ride?

The a/c question has me curious. Everyone I know thinks I'm psycho because I drive with my windows down in the winter. Heat's usually on just enough to keep it tolerable. I do like it cold, but mainly it's to keep air moving inside my cab. I can't stand stagnant, dead air, makes me nauseus (sp?). Anyways, anyone else do this, or am I insane?

Your insane J/K,I am the same way,got to have fresh air.An old mechanic I used to know did heavy equip repair on site, even in the worst weather he would be working under something outside,so he was used to extreme cold and drove around in the winter in a T-shirt with the window down.I often told him he was insane and to roll up that window! He would just laugh and say,get used to it.

I like to drive with all the windows down and the heater going full blast in freezing temps. In summer I like AC all the time.

As far as how hot, I have driven between Kingman Az and Barstow Ca when it was well over 120 and no AC. It was so hot I couldn't decide if I prefered to drive with the windows down and get blast furnaced or with them up and get baked. I drank a whole sixpack of soda on that drive and was soaked from head to toe.

I also once had a rental car in Phoenix when the weather man said it was 124. It took 10 minutes of the engine running and the AC full blast BEFORE I could even sit in the car and touch the wheel. A fax paper with my directions to the customer had turned black from the heat and my nice leather portfolio was curled like a potato chip.

I like cold better.

The A/C in my ranger blows 39 degrees out of the vent, and on a 45 minute trip I can actually see my breath! No Kidding!

My typical drive home in winter is about 25 minutes. I'll often turn the heat on in the truck full blast, and forget that it's on until I'm almost home, when I notice I'm starting to sweat...

Hottest trip I ever took was when my buddy's '83 F250 w/460 started to overheat a little during the summer on our way (2+ hour roundtrip) to pick up a tranny for me. Turning the heater on full blast kept the engine temp down, so that's what we did. I think it was in June in the Midwest...

I still definitely prefer the sweltering heat to the bone-chilling cold, but it seems that every year my comfort zone gets just a little bit cooler--I care a little less for the hottest temps of the year, and don't mind the coldest quite as much.

I don't have a choice. No a/c in my POS. I get the heat off the engine blown right back at me even with the therm dial all the way on cold. Heats up real fast in the winter though!

I was hoping there was a poll, and the one of the choices was 'meat locker' .
