Mazda 5 speed book?
Hey, does anyone know about the shims for the roller bearings. My input shaft is loose and the transmission is noisy going down the road. The bearings seem okay, but I guess I should take them out and see how they feel? I don't have allot of experience with this and couldn't find a book. Anyone have advise?

Thanks, I was hoping that someone here might know. It looks like the bearings are okay but need shims to take up some slack and hopefully cut down on the noise. I was lucky today when I called the local dealer and was given access to the service procedure for checking and ordering the correct shims. I sure hope this solves the problem. I guess I was suppose to have .002 to .006 endplay on the main shaft, and I think I was around .025. I could wiggle the input shaft pretty well before I took it apart. I ordered some shims and I've got my fingers crossed.
