Stall speed

What is the stock stall speed for a 68' F-250 w/390 2bbl? On my engine, I dont want to choose to high of a stall to sacrafice towing and low rpm cruising. I also like it not to rev to high (too loud) when driving in residential. I notice when driving in a new V-8 truck/suv, you can cruise around and not even hit 2000rpm, is it possible with my 68' truck? My motor puts out 475ftlb at 2500rpm and 395 at 5000 and I have not installed it yet, never even drivin the truck, so i have no idea what to expect. Im trying to see if i want a lower that stock stall speed, stock stall speed, or higher than stock stall speed.

My cam: Crower 210in, 220ex lift @ .050, 280in, 296ex dur @ .050

The stall speed varies car to car truck to truck. The only true way to find the stall speed is lock the wheels, put the truck in Drive and floor it. Whatever speed the engine will go to is the "stall speed." Most trucks this won't work on though, because you will overpower the brakes (the tires start to spin). As far as what speed to go with, call the manufactuer, tell them your engine specs., tell them what you want to do and not do, and see what they recommend.

With that cam you will need a high stall speed or it will hardly run on the street.
