Idle problems when cold
2000 Ltd/v10 difficulty idling when cold...... is fine after 2 or 3 minutes of mild revving or driving. Idles fine afterwards. Might repeat this the very next morning or not do it for a week or so. Is this the IAC? Ideas?

Thanks PaulC, did you replace yourself? I'm comfortable with general maintenance, brakes, minor electrical, etc, but unsure about this component's location and access. Wife said she's taking it to Ford by Friday if it isn't fixed.

I did replace it myself. On my engine, the IAC is in a fairly accessible location. I'm not certain where it's located on the V10. Ford will probably hit you about $80 - $100 for the part, and about the same for labor. Try a search on this site on "IAC replacement" and limit the search to the Super Duty and Excursion forums.
