Bad Vibes
My truck (95 F-250/460/auto/4x4) started an unusual shaking or shimmy yesterday afternoon, and it started having some hesitation today. I took it to the Ford dealer, they said Wednesday was the fastest they could get to it, but the tech took a guess and said it was my ignition/distributor. I am beginning to agree, as I do smell a small amount of raw gas when I am around the exhaust pipes. I thought about changing the plugs & wires, but I thought if that didn't fix it, then I'd still be in the same position & out several dollars that could help pay for this work. So I'm just going to let them figure it out. I'd like to be able to fix it myself, but I do not have many tools at my disposal. I just want to see if y'all think it is the same thing that the tech and myself think it is.
