Enough Power to pull?

I have a 1980 F150 4X4 with a V8 302 automatic and I am thinking about taking it to a truck pull. Do you think it could pull anything with out burning up or busting something?

I guess it depends on how much the sled weighs... Might want to try this question in the Offroad forum, there are guys there who've participated in truck pulls.
