Tranny question
I have a 1995 F150 4.9 with the M5OD and I was checking the level of the fluid today, I know it should be within a 1/8" of the bottom of the fill plug, so I opened it and got met with a stream of ATF, is this normal or should I investigate?

I found on mine that if I fill only to the bottom of the fill hole, it will be a bit low. The book says 3.8 quarts. Because the tranny slopes toward the rear as it sits in the truck, I had to jack the truck up on the filler side to get the enought fluid in. So yes I think you should be met with a steady trickle/stream, but not a spray/squirt.
