charging problems!!!

hi everone
i have a 72 ford 3/4 ton truck complete rebuilt engine, with a "MSD Ignition". I never had a charging problem tell now. Alternator works fine had it checked. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the back of the alternator to the starter relay.

thx
P.S.
brake fluid leaks out the top of my master cyl. its new and seems to be some back pressure in the lines. its the 3rd m.c. i bought and the same thing always happens leaks out the cap.

Have you tested or replaced the regulator? It's a small box mounted near the battery that tells the alt how much to charge.

You bought a new starter relay or a regulator? The regulator is usually between the battery and the radiator. The starter relay is on the inner fender to the rear of the battery.

My '73 has two small wires and the batt + on the battery side of relay. Only the starter wire is on the starter side.

So a new regulator made the battery go dead? That sounds like a bad regulator - take it back for another one.

Did the charging problem start BEFORE you changed regulators? or after?
