but so far I love it. I mostly commute but I've also done some hauling and towing with it. I love the versatility of the ST. I can get my wife and 3 boys in it (comes with 3 car seat anchors) and arrive in style or use it to tow a trailer full of mulch with a chopped up tree limb in the bed or picking up and delivering an armoir for the in-laws.
The one I bought is decked out with all the available factory options and coming from a Blazer LS the creature comforts are very nice. There's a fair amount of leg room in the back seat but as a result there's not a lot of space remaining in the cab for storage. If you get one I suggest you spring for the locking bed cover. You'll want to be able to keep things secure and dry. It's just a nice option to have and IMO looks a bit sharper.
I have only 2 gripes and they're minor. First, I like the power of the 4.0 v6 but it's not a quick truck. I am going to get some more oomph out of it. And second, (I know this is NOT performance related)I'm a bass player so there's not enough kick out of the 6 inch woofer for my liking and mine has the Pioneer system. Problem is, there's no room for a subwoofer larger than 6. I'm looking into options there too.
BTW: I'm new here and have to say this is a great forum. Exactly what I was looking for! Glad I found FTE!
If you ever need anything for your Trac, I recommend checking with Ken here at Motorhaven.com!!
Good Luck!!
Oh yeah - I am helping a friend with his SportTrac on making a box for the rear for either (4) 10's or (4) 8's. We are going to build it, take the seats off the frames, and use the box as the framing for them. I'll let you know how we come out...

by this do you mean the seats would have to be removed permanently or do you mean you're taking them out to install speakers under them and then replace the seats? If you mean the latter I am VERY interested in hearing how that turns out. With the kiddos, I have to have the rear seat.
...if you're removing the rear seats permanently wouldn't it be easier/less intrusive to mount the amps where the current subwoofer is behind the rear panel then place the subs on top of the folded down rear seats?
I considered turning the entire bed (with the hard cover) into a bass enclosure. But that would require competition-caliber gear and would require I keep the cover on at all times...but that would be SO cool! My wife would kill me.
Just haven't figured out how to keep the back seat riders from vibrating from the bass yet!!!!!
