The posts from the thread in question has been re-created into a thread Titled "Having Children".

It is never fair to a user to have their thread hi-jacked so it then takes a right turn & heads south.

Here's another one I have on my puter.

This really puts things into perspective................
Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions

When I see a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard.

My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
------------------------------------------------------------
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away.

My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.

---------------------------------------------------
When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen.

My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don't know them, they make up their own.

---------------------------------------------------------
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk.

My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.
------------------------------------------------------

When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.

My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."

===============================

When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets.
My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross, and worms to play with.

I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from?

No wonder God loves the little children!

Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I wish you Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions!!!

I made my 3 yr old a Thomas the Tank Engine cake for his birthday last week.

His exact quote was "Wow, that's pretty cool, daddy!"

Best day of my life.

Well as of 5:15pm est on 7/19/2004 my first child was born! I'm a daddy, and I can't wait to get him home. He weighed in at 7.3 lbs. 19.5 inches long, and brutally handsome like his dad,
So to each his own. I can understand where you guys are coming from on both sides of the issue. Bottom line is if it doesn't fit then don't do it, and if it does do it more, LOL!
BTW, I turned 38 in june, but I wasn;t ready to be a daddy till now.

I like to consider myslef a rough and tough soldier, but sometimes you guys can almost bring me to tears. I am a father myself, my son Tristen is two years old and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't find myself absolutley fascinated in everything he does. Just to see the curiosity in his eyes or the sound of his innocent laughter. It isn't always innocent, but you get what I mean.

Mil1ion, you seem to be a great man. Thank you for your posts. Take care all and god bless.

Congrats!
I realized today.... medium sized can of baby formula.... 22 bucks and some change
That used to be a 30 pack, or eating out money
but its sooooooooo much more rewarding to give that money to your kid and sit at home
hes the best entertainment ever

Nuttin better than having your new baby in the house....except for when they grow up marry and come for a visit and bring "their" new baby into your home. Its like its come full circle.
I think the best smell in the world is a freshly bathed baby slathered in Baby Magic baby lotion. Pure heaven!

I was over at my sister in law's house today, watching my niece. She's just the cutest thing, playing in her jolly jumper. She's got a pretty good rhythm going to kick her legs and jump.

I'm babysitting in the afternoons now, and the little boy is a few month younger than my daughter. It's pretty fun watching them, they are quite the pair. If one's into something, you can count on the other being right there, partners in crime. I'm quite certain they are communicating, they respond just like they are talking.
