The other day I finally got my clutch replaced and put everthing back together. It all was fine. I got in my Bronco to start it up and put my foot on the clutch pedal and pushed it and it slammed to the floorboard. I had reach down to lift it and it slammed back up to the pedal stop. I assumed it was something wrong with the mechanical linkage, but everything seems to be ok. Does anyone know why the pedal would be reacting like this? Before I replaced the clutch the pedal worked perfectly normal. When I start the truck in neutral it is fine but with the pedal slammed to the floor when I shift it just grinds gears and kills the engine. Thanks for your help.

It sounds to me like the fork isn't properly installed in the throwout bearing. If all the linkage, including the z-bar and rod are looking ok, then I would say it is in the bellhousing. Good luck, Ted
I was wondering about the fork. It seems to have a lot of "play" and sometimes falls off the stud that it is supposed to be clipped on. I can move it around up and down when I wiggle it.
