refill cooling system
I switched motors in my 80 f-250 now have a 302. The block was drained, Is there a special way to refill this as to not get air in the system? i have all ready installed the thermostat. any suggestions? Dave

As you fill lit, when it seems full and is steadily kinda going down, squeeze the upper radiator hose GENTLY, you don't want to pump the coolant back out. Other than that, some have said to let it run and keep filling, but I'm not real keen on that, the hose squezing has worked well for me, pumps the air out, then pulls water back in.
