All lines have a standout or two, even the junk lines, that said...... SPL as a whole is a low-to-mid (if that) level company. Prices are low but so is the quality. Car audio truly is an arena where you get what you pay for.
The trick without becoming a dealer to getting deals???? Web-crawling forums and getting it for dealer cost......or less. Sure, no warranty, but hell i got 500 dollar subs for 100 bucks a piece being in the right place at the right time. The forums are just like eBay, after a while, at a glance you can see whats a good deal, and whos gonna rip you off. After 10 years of involvement with this idiot box i have saved tons of my hard earned cash. I havent bought a car audio item retail in 6 years. Only one failure, on a 20o dollar expenditure.....in 8 years. (Someone complained the other day that i wasnt shopping bricks and mortar.....oh really? The seller lives somewhere in the US....its a round robin.

The exception to the rule imo is the inexpensive darkhorses that noone really cares about, but kick butt.
