New Expy owner
Hi guys I just bought my first Expy, it is a 1997 5.4L 4x4 EB. It has a 114,000 miles on it and runs, drives, and looks exceptional. My question is with this vehicle having this amount of miles on it, what should i check for and change before I get too many more miles on it?
Also, what performance upgrades are available for this vehicle? I will be using my Expy to haul a racecar with so the more performance I can get the better!

Hey jhobbs26 welcome aboard.
If you don't know the maintenance history, you ought to replace all the fluids (oil, tranny, transfercase, differentials, radiator), replace the fuel filter, check air filter, etc. Also check the brakes, tie rods, and other steering components.
The best (bang for the buck) performance mod is probably a superchip. Others include exhaust upgrades, electric fans, underdrive pulleys, air induction systems, blowers (hehehe), larger throttle bodies and others.
