Question *&%#* ! Marmon clamp

Just started to install a 4" system and have been wrestling with that &*^*% Marmon clamp. Any input on how to get that nasty little bugger off? I've loosened the clamp screw and it won't budge.

Yea I had a heck of a time getting mine off too!! I took a long screwdriver and a hammer and tapped on it a couple different places to get it popped loose. Just don't wail away too hard so you don't bend or deform it!! I didn't want to spray any lube in there around the turbo 'casue I didn't know what it would do when I started the truck and it got hot??

I had to pop the little U-channels off with a small flathead screwdriver... Just be patient and don't force it. You can spray something on it (I used some PB Blaster), it'll just smoke right off the next time you fire her up...

Patience and a little WD40 is all it took. Sure fought me all the way though. Just finished her up and clean all the crap up after the job. couldn't wait to get ut of the shower and take her for a spin. Grins from ear to ear. Woke up the beast under the hood. Chip, air work and the 4"er, can't wait for that ******** in the Black hemi Monday morning on the way to work.

Thanks to all. I've gotten a LOT of great stuff off this site. Love my 7.3!
