flywheel - resurface?
Got an estimate on clutch work today. Roughly $570. They said that if I have the new clutch kit installed, the flywheel has to be resurfaced. Can anyone explain that too me? I've never heard of the flywheel being resurfaced.

it gets rid of hot spots and minor imperfections of everyday usage of the clutch. it is pretty cheap and reccomended. you know how you can get a brake rotor turned to get rid of the grooves. it is just like that

Did a clutch a while back and being tight on money, I didn't resurface flywheel because it didn't look too bad, and had never had one before. The clutch started slipping after a few thousand miles and I had to tear in again. The flywheel was glazed and surface showed uneven wear. Surfaced this time and works great. Don't skimp!
