Is AIS a cold intake filter?

Just wondering if it draws outside air or heated air from under the hood?

Yes it's as cold intake as you can get without cutting into stuff.

It's design is a very similar snorkel to the stock one that protrudes through the front radiator frame area and dead ends close to the front grille plastic.

If you cut that portion of the plastic out, ("Zoodad" mod), then yes, it will become a forced "cold air".

Yes. I have 2) Optima Red Tops with top and side mounts (for accessory conection).
