Hi all!! What is a modular engine???Why does my truck not have spark plug wires?It has regular wires with those coil things.Why what are they??I have an 02 f-150 5.4 ex cab xlt 4x4 thank you for the education!!!

Coil On Plug (COP) is the term for the ignition system on these new trucks. Each sparkplug has its own coil, as far as the modular engine term, I think it has to do with how some the parts are the same in the family of engines (4.6, 5.4, ect.) not sure on that one.
