battery life

battery life
I got in my truck this morning.....wouldn't even turn over....its a 2000 f-150 4wd 5.4l......ran fine last night.....does this sound about the right time for my battery to die.....what is the average life for a battery?

I have a 98 F-150 and just replaced the battery last week. I live in Arizona where batteries typically don't last very long due to the extreme temps. The original battery is the best one I have ever had. Went to the dealer and bought another one, same price as the local auto part store for the same type battery but better and nationwide warranty.
It will pribably die tomorrow now that I just bragged on it.
