Need help with 97 CD Changer

I just got my 97 Expedition home yesterday. When I went to go and open the CD changer, I pushed the button and nothing happened. No noises, movement, nothing. Dosen't seem like it's even getting any power to it. Has anyone had this similar problem, and if so how did you go about fixing it? I hope it's just a power issue and not needing a new changer.

I'd start looking at fuses first and see if any popped. Other than that, if there are CDs in the changer, turn the radio on and see if they play. If they don't then it is probably a power or electical issue, if the do play, the magazine might be stuck. I know the power cable for the changer runs under the center console which you can get at (in my '99 anyway) by lifting up the rubber mat in the console and removing the hex screw and removing the 2nd hex screw which lives right next to where the lid for the arm rest latches. Hope this helps.
