Big Bear would be a good thing to setup as a chapter G2G. Give me an idea of how many of you guys would go to this G2G. It would be a weekend meet, hopefully on a long weekend. Get some of our San Diego Chapter members and some from the Inland Empire and From LA area. I have been looking into it and I can get discounted prices on lots, so some dates and how many would go would be cool.
im in , but not sure about dates, july is kinda cramped on weekends, and i am not sure about my deployment situation in august, but early august should be ok.....but dont y'all make plans on my account, if i can get there you can rest assured that i will be there.
Umm, do you mean driving for excessive amounts of time, in unknown areas, while blindly looking to meet other Ford truck owners in the process, while risking the probability of getting lost ... sure sounds like fun.
Hard to get lost in Big Bear. It's not very big and there's only 3 roads in and out of the valley. There's a couple of guys up there, too. Ironbelly, Chevysniper, and a couple more in and around the area. It if fit into the ol' schedule, I'm up for it. It would be a good shakedown for Bubba and the camper.
it would be more of a G2G. My 66 isnt setup for wheeling, its more of a street rod. But if one of the days everyone wants to head for the dirt then go for it, thats the fun of a weekend trip.
I looking more towards mid-August. I'll some what healed from my surgey and that way we have time to plan it all out. I can get camp sites for $15 a night and $20 for an RV site. The camp sites can hold 2 maybe more tents. The sooner I pay for them the better chance we'll have of getting them all together.
I would be very interested, but will be off to Iraq again in mid aug. July is better for me, if it works with everyone else's schedule.
Big Bear is a good spot to accomodate both street and off road; street rod trucks can roll in on pavement, everyone can slobber over the vehicles, then the 4x4s can hit the local trails if they want.
