radio colored wirers

Red face radio colored wirers

I have a ford sound 2000 type f d 2001 radio with 7 wirers. 1 yellow 1 purple
1 blue 1 red 2 black and 1 white which one is which

Are you replacing the radio to a new stock radio or aftermarket? If going aftermarket get yourself a direct harness that plugs directly into the back of the factory wiring its a breeze after that all wiring is labeled...

It's a aftermarket so i thought i could wire with out the harness. as you look from the back it as two vertical rows of pins 7 on left and 8 on the right

Steph, save yourself a big headache. Go buy the wiring harness adapter. I did mine, and it was so easy, it wasn't even funny. Wired the adapter to the head unit, then just went out and plugged it in the factory harness, and I was done. Everything is marked, and it all goes together like a breeze.
