Header Pictures
Prior Owner installed headers but cut off the flanges and welded "chambered pipes" on , he also cut and welded pieces to get over the crossmember holding up the transmission. I would like to replace with headers and pipes and mufflers but dont know what kid to get of if something is wrong with my truck and I will buy new and have to cut & weld to make them fit. Also do I need a "crossover or H- pipe"?

Crossovers/H-pipe or Y-pipe is up to you, but they do balance out the ystem nicely. Sounds like your PO did a custom job on those pipes. How does it look? That crossmember is right in the wrong spot when it comes to headers. They all dump out like 2 inches in front of the support so it is a challenge getting the exhaust bolted up to it nicely. If you ask me, they should make them drop lower to route underneath it.... Why do you want to replace the system? If you are set on removing everything and replacing, sawsall it where the collector would be, that way you could always use new headers and weld the old stuff to new collectors....
