What engine will fit

I have a 1974 f-100 with a 360 in it, but the block has a crack in it. What size motor would be compatable with the c6 tranny? and body style could i put a 351 in it? I have one lying around, but I have no clue if it will fit

because you have a c6 the only engine compatable with the tranny are the FE engines 332, 352, 360, 390, 406, 410, 427, 428.

If you want to keep your tranny you've got to stick with the FE family. If you can change the tranny then the 351 will fit. Actually any engine Ford made will fit from 300 I-6 to 460 V-8.
