f450 needs help
have a 1999 f450 7.3 powerstroke stalled the other day wouldnt restart it sat for a while now it starts but after a couple minutes stalls again changed the fuel filter, fule pump seems to be fine what else could it be? please help asap

Do a search on "Cam Position Sensor". This is a topic that is discussed fairly regularly at this site. Tons of info on it. If you can read your codes and you find a PO344 code then this is probably your problem. Many of us have had this problem and most carry and extra sensor so we don't get stuck somewhere. It will cost about $180 just for the part at the dealership about 1/2 that at International Motor Co. You can easy install it yourself and save the $50+ labor cost. I've had this part go out on me twice in 78,000 miles and it is just as you discribed. The first time it went out on me I never could get it started again. Ford part number is F7TZ-12K073-A.
