Started thinning at about 20. At about 27, the dome had a golf ball sized bald spot. I'm 30 now, and I now shave my head bald. No sense covering up a bald spot. Besides, thanks to Michael Jordan, bald is beautiful! I am so happy I shaved it off! I get out of the shower, and I am ready to go to work! No wasted time worrying about my hair! And it looks much better too!

Same here. started losing it in my early 20's. i was single and vain and i spent 5K on hair transplants. they worked to fill in the front but then the rest of the "front" started to fall out; i couldn't afford another 15K to finish, and then i looked like i had a doll's head. (look at a doll's head, you'll know what i mean). i started shaving my head about 4 years ago. i had to supplement that with a mustache and goatee. i look 10 years younger than before. Even with my beer belly, i get the occasional look from a female; good thing my wife aint jealous. If you're losing your hair, grow a mustache and goatee, then shave that hair off! you might be surprised how good you look. And DON'T get hair plugs/transplants! Waste of money unless you are really rich. YES, thank you to michael jordan, vin diesel, Kojak, Mr. Clean.
and all the other bald and beautiful men!
Look on the bright side:
the more hair you lose, the more head you get.
At 70, I don't think I have lost a single hair. I credit that to genes, both my grandfathers kept their hair. Mine is now greying and my mustache is white.

I had that all through college, the stone cold steve austin look but I grew some hair for job interviews (someone said I was too intimidating looking the other way, LOL, I'm so easy going) and have kept the hair but it might be time to go back to that look.
I've been told that the hair/baldness gene comes down to us through our mother's side...so I guess if your mother or grandmother is bald, you likely will be too?! I don't know, my father still has a thick head of hair at 70, and I'm doing OK...it's just that when you hit 40, you start growing hair in places you'd rather not. I hate shaving my ears, for example. I knew a guy who refused to shave his ears, and had 3-inch beards hanging from each earlobe. Really gross. I feel for you guys losing it early, but don't fall for the comb-over thing, it looks way worse than the bald spot, and you're not fooling anyone but yourself. -TD
I was about 21 when I started getting bald spots from stress, first one on my left, then on the right, then in the back! I would keep the sides shaved, with only hair being on top. Earlier this year I started noticing that coupled with the spots my hairline was starting to recede in the corners, so I did what any other 23 year man in man position would do ... took a Mach3 to my dome, and never looked back. I've been shaving my head for a couple of months now, and love it. Chicks dig the baldness, I get way more attention now than ever before. I don't think I want hair anymore.
