Simple,
Hook oil sending unit wire to oil guage wire.

There are two sending units for temp. one guage wire goes to the top most sending unit on front of drivers side head.
The lower one goes to the temp light. (Diesels have an extra light panel on the bottom of the dash right of thre steering wheel)

Ignition wire, it splits into two wires over the passenger side valve cover.
The first wire goes to the coolant temp switch down under the alternator and hooks to one blade of the switch. The other blade of the switch has a wire that comes up to the throttle cold start solenoid (left side of the injection pump looking from the front) it then continues to the timing advance solenoid which is the fartherest back on the right side of the pump.
The other wire goes straight to the fuel shut off solenoid which is the front most connection on the right side of the pump.

The starter solenoid that is already on your truck stays where it is. The starter wire from the switch stays where it is. The solenoid battery wire hooks up to the positive post of the battery. The wire that used to go to the starter still goes there, but it hooks up to the little terminal on the starter.

The big #2/0 battery cable hooks to both positive posts of both batteries and the other end hooks to the empty big terminal on the starter mounted solenoid.

When you look at this, what you have is your old gas motor starter solenoid energizing the big starter mounted diesel solenoid. Positives of the batteries hooked straight to the starter solenoid.
Battery negatives are hooked to the engine block, one on each side.

Now wasn't that easy?

Ooops almost forgot, the alternator is its own little deal. Should hook right up like any alternator does that has an external regulator.

And one more thing to do, are you wanting to do automatic or manual glow plugs?
