ZF S542 Adapter??
I thought I had a M5OD but turns out it's a S542. I'm going to do a swap on '93 F250 4x4 from a 351W to a 460. Unfortunately the bell housing is integral with the case. So, can I use the same size flywheel and starter gear that's on the 351 on the 460 so that it'll fit and the starter will still work? And I can make an adapter plate so the 351 bell housing will bolt to the 460 but is there any play on input shaft length, etc. so that this will work? Are there any adapter kits or ideas out there?

Dang, I guess I'll be hunting for a tranny. I did hunt all over the internet and this site for any kind of fabrication or modifications that could remotely be possible and nothing. At least I should be able to sell my S542 and maybe the E4OD from the other truck. You think I'll be able to sell the 1 1/2 ton dually rearend from the F450 or just scrap the rest of that truck? Well, I am finding out a lot about my truck and I'm sure I'll learn a lot when I'm in the middle of the swap. For now I'm doing the research and I'll let everyone know how it's going once it gets going. Thanks again for steering me right.
