94 Explorer Vibration
I have a 94 Explorer, 4-door, 4X4, 86,000 miles. I have owned the vehicle since 66,000 miles. The truck has always had a vibration (the entire vehicle) between the speeds of 55 and 60 MPH. I have checked all the front end parts and have replaced the tires. But the vibration is still there. I did hear someone mention that this was a problem with first-generation explorers due to weak engine mounts. Any documentation to back this up?

I would lean more towards a bad U-joint on your driveshaft. I had the same problem on my 92 Explorer and I also thought it was a bad motor mount. I had to put the truck in neutral before I could get the U-joints to move and then I found that one of them was about to fall off. It cost me $20 for the joints and $40 to have them pressed in by the local machine shop. Now it no longer has that vibration and is very smooth. If you hear a clunking sound when you put it in gear, check out those joints...
