here is info on the press your luck scandal: http://gscentral.net/larsen.htm
if you ever get a chance to see the documentary, you'll see all the video footage. this guy was obsessed with this kind of stuff. better game shows than serial killin'.
I saw it last night, and quite frankly found it boring. He just kept answering all the questions, and made the other contestants look like idiots, because they could never get their buzzer to buzz them in fast enough. Wonder how far he will go??
Alex Trabeck (IQ of 140+) That is why is always acts so pompous. I like the John Lovitz quote, "You always act so smart, well I could be smart to if I had the answers."

Cool article, I used to love that show (course I was so young, I just liked the wammy guy's, hehe ). Thanks alot.
So did anybody watch today? I am assuming he won again, and surpassed the 1 mil. mark?
My wife saw something on the Net about the guy wins like 38 times. NOTE: This is big time rumor material.
I think part of why Ken Jennings is so successful is that he DOES ring in on stuff he doesn't immediately know the answer to. Many of the questions (answers) they use on Jeopardy! are trick questions (answers) with the answer (question? ARRRGH) right in them. But, when the rubber meets the road, you have to be quick and KNOW your stuff to get as far as this guy has.
BTW, 140 IQ is generally considered genius.
And, it wouldn't surprise me if Alex's was up there. He throws in WAY too many comments with related info that are based on the contestants responses, even the wrong ones.
This guy has a mind like a sponge, hes pretty amazing to watch. Since he is a abiding LDS man, he also will be tithing 10% of his gains as he has stated, that in itself is pretty amazing too. Gotta give the guy credit, Ive never seen anyone that has the answers to everything like this guy does.
Thanks people. My local cable company has been on an "upgrade" tyrade of late. They have completely knocked my reception out and I have missed the last weeks shows. And the interview.
My wife and I are daily watchers of the show and have caught all his games up until last week.
The digital cable company has credited my account 3.20 for every day that I don't get reception and so far I have missed.
Game five of the NBA playoffs, the Baseball Allstar game, and Ken jennings March to a Million.
I called Direct TV tonight and they;'re coming over monday to set me up with the ultimate premium package 230 + channels.
It's been hell having to deal one on one with the family. 31 years of marriage two kids and two grandkids. I lose my cable for a month and don't know what to do witrh myself. Pitiful don't you think?
What about that! let me have it guys what the heck is going on when life goes straight to the crapper when the boob tube is fritzing?
Jennings secret is his speed reading. He reads the question before Trebek can finish speaking it. It gives him the time to think and be ready to respond. Not to brag, but at home I can answer a lot of the questions before Alex is done, and I am a fast reader. His other help is his extensive knowledge of the AREAS that Joepardy covers.
Man, he almost bought it last night. Around half way through "Double Jeoporady," he looked like he was gonna kill someone. Is he starting to slip? Is the pressure gettin' to ya, is it? IS IT?

I can read them pretty fast too but I think that my finger would be too slow so I'll never be on jeopardy. I think this is great to watch, yesterday was actually a pretty good game but final jeopardy was really easy.
