I have an 04 Eddie Bauer without the navigation system, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy the navigation system and the new dash piece, becuase it looks bigger than the stock radio? Thanks for you help

Smile one suggestion

let me suggest the Magellan Roadmate 700..totally portable from car to car, 10 gig hard drive( no cd's), all the U. S. and most of Canada built -in...absolutely love mine...Costco has them for around $1049 plus a $50 m/i rebate.....but if factory is what you want, then disregard.

You will find some on Ebay from time to time. There was one last week in fact. It went for about $300. The only thing is I think you may also have to install a cd changer in the center console as the radio you will take out probably is an in dash changer and you will lose this once you install the navigation. Also you will need to buy a GPS antenna. I have not been able to find out where exactly they installed the antenna. There are no external visual signs of an antenna as there are on other vehicles such as Mercedes or Honda. You may have to do a little research on this. All said, I think I would go with either the Magellan or Garmin portable units. I have a Garmin 2610 in my second vehicle and it works just as well if not better than the factory unit in my Eddie Bauer. The only drawback is the much smaller display on the portable units. The portable units also give you much more information such as vehicle speed, and elevation and they can also be operated while the vehicle is moving. This should be done though by one of your passengers.
