Clutch Question

Here is one for ya...

I noticed my clutch is strange. I have never felt this in any other car before. Why is it that sometimes my clucth is tight, meaning there is pressure on it as soon as the foot touches it. And others, there is like a 1" dead spot before i get pressure. It still shifts good. I just hate it adjusting itself like that. I only like to push my clutch just to wear it disengages to shift. I am not one of those old grandpa's who slam it to the floor to shift like it is a old column shift or something.. Any Ideas guys??? Thanks in Advance!

It's been like that ever since I bought it and I am not worried about it, but I was wondering if it is "just like that" or what.

Doesn't sound like much of a problem to me... Did you check the fluid reservoir?

The reservoir is fine..No I don't push it down all the way every time. It shifts more smoothly and quicker if i push it just pass the disengagement point. I was just wondering if other 5spd's do this. It shifts well most of the time. When I first bought it, if I didn't shift out of 2nd just right it would hit third gear and grind. It quit that..now somethimes shifting from third to fourth at high rpm's it does..She has a mind of her own I guess.
