Still sputtering/missing/forward firing, mostly when encountering a hill. First one-third of throttle/pedal is okay, but after that sucks. Started when ECT indicator pegged, then died altogether, with associated code. Dutifully replaced ECT sensor, and whilst 'there' the dist cap, wires, & plugs. Still ran like spit, even @ idle - fixed that: dirty IAB valve & solenoid - and no coolant temp indication.
Need help! Thought maybe too focused on control, & went to fuel. Replaced fuel filter and Fuel Press Regulator. Still no joy. The Chilton manual's schematics are incomplete. Maybe someone has a Haynes manual that shows the pinouts or wiring diagrams from the controller's connector to the gauges and/or the pinout wiring diagram of that big firewall feed thru connector. Pinning out the engine harness to controller connector as this gets posted.....
What controls 'droop'/load compensation? If the ECT senario smoked the controller, how will I know? Why was I put on this earth to be so frustrated with such a seemingly simple problem? hehehe..... Anyone know the starting fluid to check 4 vacuum leaks trick?
