It's unfortunate that some Ford truck owners have experienced a vibration issue of one type or another. For those contemplating buying a new Ford F-150 I can tell you my experience has been good. In February of 2004 I purchased a Ford Lariat Supercrew 2WD (18 inch wheels) with a 3.55 rear axle (Limited Slip). I currently have over 7,000 miles and the truck is really impressive. The ride at all speeds is really smooth . When you engage the cruise control it holds the speed precisely. The unbelievably strong chassis and 18 inch wheels makes going over rough roads a breeze. I got on my floor creeper the other day and took a look at the chassis. No wonder the truck is so solid. The frame is massive! If your'e considering buying a Ford truck I don't think you'll go wrong if you take a good test drive first. The Supercrew with 18 inch wheels is the way to go. The 3.55 limited slip rear axle gets a half mile per gallon better mileage than the 3.73 which adds up to 15 extra miles per tank full Shoot I'll take it.
Oh by the way the audiophile option is awesome . It has a seperate power amp and subwoofer mounted underneath the rear seat and it rally cranks out the music and big bass. ALso you have to get the reverse sensing. It is invaluble when backing this truck up. Good Luck
