Multifunction or GEM?
So, question 2. Another intermittent problem.. *GRRR* Sometimes when the windshield wipers or the windshield washers are turned on the radio shuts off for about 10 seconds and the comes right back on.
I was told by a couple of guys at work that it might be either the multifunction switch or the GEM module. Looking for opinions on where to start.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

This might be the GEM (I think it stands for General Electronic Module) that may have a loose connection or the plug harness is corroded.
Or it could be the ignition switch that is not fully engaging the sliders inside or is loose inside and causing it to not make a full connection.
I would start a search under the dash and see if any of the wiring\harnesses are loose or possibly there is a bare wire floating around that is grounding itself out.

. And..... the starting issue is still creeping up on occassion, but I think I've actually narrowed that down to the starter itself not fully engaging all the time. So, onward and upward, albeit a slow process. Thanks for all of y'alls time. Back soon, I'm sure
