Tanks been leaking out the top for some time now, and the sending unit finally gave it up. Guess it's time to replace the tank and sending unit. I'm having problem locating a replacement sending unit, and fill hose, anyone know where to find one?
Also, I have the 19 gal tank, and would love to go to the 36 gal. Anyone done this? Is it worth the trouble, or should I be satisfied with the 19?
i have a 86 f250 with a 19 gal tank.im going to put in a 40 gal from a 78 one ton dodge.it should be a easy fit .also the sending unit has the same ohm value as the ford so your gauge will still work.
have a nice day
lrd56 a happy dinosaur
its a possibility just a hose leak or the gasket
at the sending unit
gauge problem could be the float
this is a common problem
