stupid steering box!
I replaced the seal for the sector shaft on my 91 F150s steering box, and now the sector shaft wont go back in! I dont know if i had to remove it or not, but it seemed to make it easier to get the seal out. I have the teeth for the worm shaft lined up, it goes in partially, and than just wont go anymore. I really need help, or some type of step by step article or something. I need my truck because i havent been able to drive it in about 2 months because of other problems. All these problems are really starting to make me rethink about buying another Ford.

I wish i could help you with this problem. I'm sure with all the ford truck whizzes on here someone will be able to help you, but i don't think it's just because it's a ford. All cars have there problems.

Yea i know, this one just seems to be making me mad the most lol. Oh well, we got it in finally after getting helping from my dads friends thats a mechanic. Figures he came over and had it in, in like 2 minutes
