I have a 1983 f250 xlt with a 460 engine and dual tanks. When I bought the truck, the original carb. had been replaced, and almost none of the vacuum lines were hooked up properly. The front fuel tank failed to deliver gas to the motor when it was switched on, and I thought it was a valve or electrical problem.
Anyway, I paid a small fortune and got the vacuum system worked out and the truck is running like brand new. Even the front gas tank is working now. I don't know much about this stuff, but i was wondering if the vacuum line problem I had could have caused the problem I had with the gas tank? Or is it just a miracal that it started working again?
